The various types of Car Accidents

Car Accidents are one of the most common forms of accidents all over the world. More than a million people are killed in car accidents every year and the numbers of the people injured by the same are more than 40 million. The Car Accidents are not caused due to the drivers fault alone. More than often the pedestrians are at fault. The major accidents of the cars are caused due to drunk driving and weather problems. The word car accident is often used for the accidents are caused by the road traffic that involves at least one or more vehicle of the road in the same. The collision of he vehicles with another or the collision of the same with another stationary object is the cause of the same. The collision of the same results in the loss of lives and damage to property and people. There are various kinds of common terms that the people use for the same. These include auto accident, car crash, car smash, car wreck, fender bender, motor vehicle accident road traffic collision or the(RTC, road traffic incident or the RTI, traffic collision, personal injury collision or the PIC, road accident, road traffic accident or the RTA and many other names also.

There are many causes of the accidents which occur on the road. Most of them are caused by the drivers fault like drinking and driving, drivers who have poor eyesight or other kinds of physical problems like hearing impairments, the people who are over stressed and tired, people who are driving under medication, the older age people who have slow motor skills due to age factors and other similar causes. The major accidents are cause due to the erratic behaviour of the drivers like not following the traffic lights or going over the speed limit and other similar problems. It is often the pedestrians who are at fault. People who cross the roads even when the walk sign is on, people who just cross over in the middle of the road and other similar kinds of situations. Then there are also the technical problems that come in to account when the parts of the car malfunction like the brakes not working and other similar situations. However these are very rare. The other major reason for the road accidents are the weather conditions. Rainy days make the roads slippery and cause the cars to skid. Then the fog conditions make it difficult to see and other related problems.
